242. Jonathan⁶ BARTON (Timothy⁵, Joshua⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Spencer, MA September 11, 1754. Jonathan died Before 2 APR 1830 in Bolton, NY, at approximately 75 years of age.

He married Hannah DIX 13 December 1781 in Whitingham, Windham, VT. Also recorded at Sturbridge, MA

Hannah was born 21 September 1759 in Leicester, Worcester, MA. Hannah was the daughter of Benjamin DIX and Mehitabel SANDERSON. Hannah died 6 JAN 1824 in Bolton, NY, at 64 years of age.

Jonathan was listed as the head of a family on the 1790 Census in Whitingham, Windham, VT. Jonathan was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census in Bolton, NY. Jonathan had his will probated 1 March 1830. About 1705 Jonathan moved the family to Hoosack, NY where they spent 2 years and then to Bennington, VT for a year before settling in Bolton. He died intestate and letters of administration were granted to his son, Lorenzo on 1 March 1830. This obviously bring the date of death in our data in to question.
