54. Joshua⁴ BARTON (Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Framingham, Middlesex, MA December 24, 1697.⁽⁴²⁾ Joshua died 13 February 1793 in Spencer, MA, at 95 years of age.

He married twice. He married Ann WIFE OF JOSHUA BARTON. Ann was born February 27, 1699/1700. Ann died June 24, 1757 at 58 years of age. He married Hannah HOLMAN December 27, 1757 in Sutton, Worcester, MA.⁽⁴³⁾ The marriage is also recorded at Southwest Harbor, ME From his father he received half of the Samuel Barton homestead at Oxford Village, a part of the Elliot Mills and a tract of land on Prospect Hill; and from David Towne he purchased a tract on Towne's Plain. He also lived at Leicester and Spencer and was a landowner in both places being called "of Spencer" at his marriage.

Joshua BARTON and Ann WIFE OF JOSHUA BARTON had the following children:

99 i. Ann⁵ BARTON was born in Oxford, Worcester, MA March 17, 1721/1722.⁽⁴⁴⁾

100 ii. Sarah BARTON was born in Oxford, Worcester, MA October 13, 1724.⁽⁴⁵⁾

+ 101 iii. Joshua BARTON was born October 2, 1727.

102 iv. Mary BARTON was born in Oxford, Worcester, MA May 10, 1730.⁽⁴⁶⁾

+ 103 v. Timothy BARTON was born April 13, 1732.

+ 104 vi. Nathan BARTON was born July 23, 1734.

+ 105 vii. Reuben BARTON was born March 28, 1738/1739.
