He married Caroline Jossephine AUGENSTEIN 4 March 1878 in St. Paul, Ramsey, MN. Caroline was born 23 April 1853 in PA. Caroline died 17 October 1957 in Seatle, King, WA, at 104 years of age.

Robert BARTON and Caroline Jossephine AUGENSTEIN had the following children:

2313 i. Angie Mai⁹ BARTON was born in Ada, Polk, MN 16 February 1879. She married Walter A. SOUTHERLAND 1 September 1904 in Olympia, WA.

2314 ii. Robert Charles BARTON was born in Grand Forks, Nelson, ND 8 October 1880. He married Mattie M. BRANNER 1 June 1910 in Seatle, King, WA.

2315 iii. Frances Louise BARTON was born in Grand Forks, Nelson, ND 12 August 1887. Frances died 27 February 1978 in Bainbridge Island, WA, at 90 years of age. She married Harold Gross STERN 15 November 1914 in Seatle, King, WA. Harold was born 15 October 1883 in Syracuse, Onondaga, NY. Harold died 3 July 1958 in Seabeck, WA, at 74 years of age.
