229. Ezra⁶ BARTON (Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA before February 15, 1761 (chr. date). Ezra died 11 September 1805 in Laurens, Otsego, NY, at 44 years of age.

He married Mercy FERGUSON 1782. Mercy was born about 1762. Mercy⁽²⁶⁷⁾ was the daughter of William FERGUSON.

He was christened February 15, 1761 in Sutton, Worcester, MA.⁽²⁶⁸⁾ The following individuals are also linked to this event: Hannah LILLY (mother); Samuel BARTON (father). Ezra had his will probated 7 March 1806 in Cooperstown, NY. Ezra was killed along with three others when a roof truss or "bent" fell on them as they were trying to raise it for a distillery. It was a rainy day and one man slipped allowing the beams to fall. (History of Laurens Township by Bernice Wardell.)

482 i. Robert⁷ BARTON⁽²⁶⁹⁾. He married Lipporah WIFE OF ROBERT BARTON.

+ 484 iii. Hannah BARTON was born about 1796.

+ 485 iv. Sara BARTON was born 1801.

+ 486 v. Mariah BARTON was born 4 October 1803.

+ 487 vi. Ezra BARTON was born about 1806.
