244. Timothy Stowe⁶ BARTON (Timothy⁵, Joshua⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Spencer, MA October 1758. Timothy died 30 June 1844 in Bolton, NY, at 85 years of age.

He married twice. He married Phebe STONE 20 June 1782 in Dudley, MA. Phebe was born 05 December 1759. Phebe was the daughter of Benjamin STONE and Susannah BUCKMAN. Phebe died 25 May 1824 at 64 years of age. He married Susannah LITCHFIELD Bailey 16 June 1828. Susannah died in Bolton, NY. Her body was interred in Ticonderoga, Essex, NY. Susannah is burried in Valley View Cemetery.

Timothy was listed as the head of a family on the 1790 Census in Whitingham, Windham, VT. Timothy was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census in Bolton, NY. Timothy served one year and nine months in the Revolutionary war under Capt. William Campbell and Col. Ebenezer Larned a part of the time. He was on the rolls of pensioners in Warren County.

His marriage to Phebe was also recorded in Whitingham, Windham, VT.

Timothy Stowe BARTON and Phebe STONE had the following children:

+ 517 ii. Perley BARTON was born 30 March 1784.

+ 518 iii. Anna BARTON was born 26 August 1786.

519 iv. Clarissa BARTON was born in Whitingham, Windham, VT 30 December 1789. She married Gershon LANE. Gershon was listed as the head of a family on the 1830 Census in Moriah, Essex, NY.

520 v. Olive BARTON was born in Whitingham, Windham, VT 17 April 1791.⁽²⁸¹⁾

521 vi. Phoebe BARTON was born 1793.

+ 522 vii. Daniel BARTON was born 1798.

523 viii. Leonard BARTON was born 1806. He married Nancy FARRER.
