He married Celia A. KENT 4 June 1870 in Adams, MA.⁽¹³²²⁾ Celia was born December 1849 in Belchertown, Hampshire, MA. Celia was the daughter of Phileus KENT.

Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Hoosick, Rensselaer, NY. Charles is called a photographer at his marriage and in the 1880 census.

Charles E. BARTON and Celia A. KENT had the following children:

2712 i. Jessie Almyra⁹ BARTON was born in Charlemont, Franklin, MA 2 January 1871. She married unknown MILLER.

2713 ii. Edward BARTON was born in MA 1872.

2714 iii. Helena BARTON was born in Montague, Franklin, MA 20 December 1873.

2715 iv. Caroline BARTON was born in Heath, MA 2 October 1875.

+ 2716 v. Ethel May BARTON was born October 1880.
