254. Nathan⁶ BARTON (Nathan⁵, Joshua⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Oxford, Worcester, MA February 8, 1770. Nathan died August 1824 in Lyons, NY, at 54 years of age.

He married Sally BURROUGHS 24 September 1795 in Plainfield, MA.⁽²⁸⁴⁾ Sally was born CA 1779 in MA. Sally was the daughter of Simon BURROUGHS and Hannah NOYES. Sally died 9 December 1853 in Ohio, at 74 years of age. Her body was interred in Clarinden, Geauga, OH. The family joined in what is being called "the 2nd Great Migration" to the west of New England moving to Ontario County in New York state. In less than a year, Nathan died and Sally took the unmarried portion of her family back to Massachussetts where they remained until 1832.

Nathan BARTON and Sally BURROUGHS had the following children:

554 i. Eve⁷ BARTON was born in Plainfield, MA.⁽²⁸⁵⁾

555 ii. Iram BARTON⁽²⁸⁶⁾ was born in Plainfield, MA 10 June 1796. Iram died 16 February 1797 in Plainfield, MA, at less than one year of age.⁽²⁸⁷⁾

556 iii. Malinda BARTON⁽²⁸⁸⁾ was born in Plainfield, MA 25 November 1797.⁽²⁸⁹⁾ She married William CARUTHERS.

+ 557 iv. Lydia Rice BARTON was born 25 November 1799.

+ 558 v. Jeremiah Sumner BARTON was born 2 March 1801.

559 vi. Rhoda BARTON⁽²⁹⁰⁾ was born in Plainfield, MA 13 March 1802.⁽²⁹¹⁾ She married William JORDAN 4 July 1822 in Plainfield, MA.⁽²⁹²⁾

+ 560 vii. Lovinia BARTON was born about 1806.

+ 561 viii. Chester BARTON was born 21 October 1807.

+ 562 ix. Tamar BARTON was born 10 October 1808.

+ 563 x. Reuben BARTON was born 9 January 1811.

+ 564 xi. Lorenzo BARTON was born 2 September 1814.

+ 565 xii. Lois BARTON was born about 1816.
