2264. George Arthur⁹ BARTON (Lemuel Russell⁸, Hosea Ballou⁷, Peter⁶, Bezaleel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Newport, Sullivan, NH 25 February 1909. George died 25 April 1974 in Concord, Merrimack, NH, at 65 years of age.⁽¹⁷³⁷⁾

He married Marjorie ALEXANDER 19 May 1934 in Manchester, Hillsborough, NH. Marjorie was born about 1916 in Worcester, Worcester, MA. Marjorie was the daughter of Delbert ALEXANDER and Alice M. KING. Marjorie died 29 November 2003 in Concord, Merrimack, NH, at 87 years of age. George lead a varried life as a shoe laborer, machinest, truck driver and later as a book keeper and manager for Ralston Purina. In retirement he was a houseparent at the Devereaux Schools.

George Arthur BARTON and Marjorie ALEXANDER had the following children:

+ 3555 i. Jane Elizabeth¹⁰ BARTON (still alive).

+ 3556 ii. Kathleen Priscillann BARTON (still alive).
