227. Jonathan⁶ BARTON (Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹)⁽²⁵⁷⁾ was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA January 12, 1758.⁽²⁵⁸⁾ Jonathan died 31 March 1831 in New Berlin, Chenango, NY, at 73 years of age.

He married Mary WILLARD 1 November 1781 in Canaan, Litchfield, CT. Mary was born 19 March 1757 in Canaan, Litchfield, CT. Mary died 20 February 1835 at 77 years of age.

He was baptized 29 June 1760 in Sutton, Worcester, MA. Jonathan was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census in Jericho, Chenango, NY. The marriage and death records come from a pedegree file on the LDS website. No other documentation has surfaced. Jonathan applied for a revolutionary war pension in 1818 in Banbridge, Chenango, NY and was 60 in 1820.

Jonathan BARTON and Mary WILLARD had the following children:

466 i. Jerusha⁷ BARTON was born in Canaan, Litchfield, CT 10 August 1783.

467 ii. Emma BARTON was born in Canaan, Litchfield, CT 10 April 1790.

468 iii. Hannah BARTON was born in Canaan, Litchfield, CT 23 May 1792.
