Willis died 2 January 1911 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA, at 64 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁵⁴⁾ His body was interred 5 January 1911 in Malden, Middlesex, MA.⁽¹⁸⁵⁵⁾

He married Laura M. RUGG 21 July 1867 in Royalston, Worcester, MA. Laura was born about 1843 in Fitzwilliam, NH. Laura was the daughter of Lowell RUGG.

Willis was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Royalston, Worcester, MA. Willis is called a fireman at the birth of his daughter Mary in 1872.

Willis H. BARTON and Laura M. RUGG had the following children:

3692 i. Nellie L.¹⁰ BARTON was born in MA July 1868. Nellie died 18 September 1868 in Royalston, Worcester, MA, at less than one year of age.

3693 ii. Mary BARTON was born in Adams, MA 11 August 1872.
