He married twice. He married Nettie Ione HAND 17 October 1896. Nettie was born 2 August 1875. Nettie died 13 March 1906 at 30 years of age. He married Kate UNKNOWN. Kate was born about 1873 in IL.

Cyrus had has 5 children born of which 2 were living and the wife Kate had had 3 children of which one was living. It is a reasonable thought that youngest child Zala was the sole living child of Kate and Cyrus.

In 1910 Cyrus is a laborer in a brickyard. In the 1920 census Cyrus is called a switchman for the railroad and in 1930 he is a self employed paper hanger.
