He married Virginia "Jennie" R. REED 10 February 1885 in Franklin, KS. Virginia was born January 1855 in Littleton, Schuyler, IL. Virginia⁽¹⁸⁶³⁾ was the daughter of Harrison REED and Eliza CORDELL. Virginia died 13 January 1923 in Farmington, Whitman, WA, at 67 years of age.
