He married Almina Caroline KNOWLTON 23 August 1922 in New London, Merrimack, NH. Almina was born 1901 in NH.

Mason was listed as the head of a household on the 1930 census in Lower Marion, Montgomery, PA. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Jane BARTON (daughter); Carlton F. BARTON (son); Almina Caroline KNOWLTON (wife). Mason attended Colgate college and in the 1930 census is called a fire prevention engineer.
