327. Isaac6 BARTON (Isaac5, Jedediah4, Samuel3, Matthew2, Edward1) was born in Oxford, Worcester, MA March 21, 1768. Isaac died December 2, 1840 in Greenfield, Franklin, MA, at 72 years of age.(392)

He married Hannah PIERCE 9 March 1784. Hannah was born 10 March 1765. Hannah died 1856 in Gill, Franklin, MA, at 91 years of age.

He was baptized 26 August 1770 in Oxford, Worcester, MA. Isaac and Hannah moved from Oxford to Leyden about 1809 living there until 1815 when they moved to Bernardston and lived with son Benjamin and his wife Sally on "Burk Flats." In May of 1817 they purchased a place in New Salem and lived there until 1833 when they bought a farm along with son, David. In 1838 they moved to a farm in the north part of Greenfield. Isaac died there in 1840 and was buried in Log Plain Cemetery south of Greenfield Camps (8th cornerstone 11th row.)

Isaac BARTON and Hannah PIERCE had the following children:

child + 756 i. Benjamin7 BARTON was born 3 August 1789.

child 757 ii. Joseph BARTON was born in Leyden, Franklin, MA September 27, 1791. Joseph died in Oswego, Oswego, NY. He married Mary PARSONS 29 December 1812 in Greenfield, Franklin, MA. Joseph settled in Oswego, NY with wife Mary Parsons. This line is continued in the "Descendants of Jedediah Barton" by Joan A. Hunter published by Higinson Books 2004.

child + 759 iv. Nehemiah Pierce BARTON was born June 30, 1796.

child + 760 v. Hannah BARTON was born April 10, 1798.

child + 761 vi. David BARTON was born March 31, 1801.

child + 762 vii. Sally BARTON was born June 5, 1804.

child 763 viii. Louisa BARTON was born in Ward, MA January 8, 1808. She married Salem RICH JAN 1836 in Hinsdale, NH. Salem was born about 1813 in Greenfield, Franklin, MA. Salem was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Greenfield, Franklin, MA. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Louisa BARTON (household member); Ellen Lovinda BARTON (household member). Salem was a watchman.
